Archimedes: Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovations

The 2018 Moscow International Salon Archimedes focused on:

• stimulating inventive, patent-licensing and innovation activities;
• developing the market for the results of intellectual activity;
• promoting new products and services.

More than 250 organizations were represented and participants came from 27 countries and 55 regions of the Russian Federation. Upwards of 700 innovative projects and inventions were showcased.

WIPO’s participation

WIPO was represented by Mr. Michal Svantner, Director, Department for Transition and Developed Countries (TDC), who participated in the opening ceremony and proceedings of the event.   

On April 8, 2018 Mr. Svantner took part in the closing ceremony and presented the WIPO Medal for Inventors to winners of the international contests.
