Workshops for United Nations Diplomats

The Coordination Office holds periodical workshops on the basics of intellectual property for the benefit of UN diplomats and officials. The office also collaborates with UNITAR, New York office in this effort.

Topical Events at the United Nations

The Coordination Office organizes for the UN community events on topical subjects with intellectual property dimension at the UN, including on public health, agriculture, climate change, traditional and indigenous knowledge and traditional cultural expressions.

Special IP events

In association with the intellectual property professional bodies, the Coordination Office organizes from time to time expert meetings on specific areas of intellectual property, such as: patents (PCT), trademarks, geographical indicators and copyrights. These activities mainly address the professional needs of intellectual property attorneys.

Collaborations with UNITAR & WTO

The Coordination Office joins the UNITAR and WTO seminar for diplomats on trade policy, to lecture the participants on WIPO, IP, TRIPS and Public Health.
