Forty-Ninth series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO

The Forty-Ninth Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO (the Assemblies) were held from September 26 to October 5, 2011, at the International Conference Center Geneva (CICG), Geneva.

Documents

As a positive contribution to a carbon-free environment and a cost-saving measure, Assemblies documents were published on the WIPO web site only.

Interpretation

Simultaneous interpretation was provided in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish, as well as Portuguese (passive).

Webcasting of the Assemblies

The Assemblies were Webcast on the Internet.

Evening Reception

All delegates were invited to a cocktail reception to mark the opening of the Assemblies and to inaugurate the new WIPO building.

Exhibition

An exhibition showcasing the achievements of Poland’s designers, organized jointly by WIPO and the Polish Government, was held at the CICG. The exhibition offered a retrospective of Polish innovation in the field of design, with works showing Polish creativity across a wide range of products and illustrating the commercial value of industrial designs.
